Benelli finally launched its entry-level motorbike the TNT 25 with a price tag of Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India. The TNT 25 is the Italian manufacturer's first single cylinder bike in the country. The bike has been launched in two variants Standard and Premium. The Premium model costs a little more than the Standard as the Premium model comes with a price tag of Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is clearly aimed at targeting the entry level Indian bike market and all set to take the likes away from the recently launched Mahindra Mojo.
Powering the TNT 25 is a 249.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that generates 28.15 BHP of power at 9800 RPM and 21.61 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The Benelli TNT 25 can reach a top speed of 145 km/hr. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Weighing 159 kg, the bike gets giant upside-down forks at the front, monoshock suspension at the rear, 280mm discs up front and 240mm discs at the rear. The normal variant gets MRF tyres, while the premium variant gets gripper Metzelers and optional ABS.
The bike is available in two different colours – red and white. Benelli is also offering three different types of decals as optional accessories along with other features like sporty alloy wheels, single-piece seat, underbelly exhaust, unique LED tail lamp, big 17 litre fuel tank and a headlamp that is similar to the TNT 300.
